Hard Rock Hotel® Singapore Staycation

Beautiful weekend spent at Hard Rock Hotel® Singapore :)

A and I love staycations because it feels like we are having a vacation! Being away from the usual environment and freeing ourselves from work/study stress <3 Most importantly, we get to spend quality time together and truly enjoying each other's company :)

After shopping and getting our food, we headed straight to the boardwalk towards Sentosa :) Better than taking the overpriced monorail hahaha we get to enjoy the gorgeous view too ^^

We were so excited when we saw these booths!! Made a mental note to visit at night :)

Checking in could take awhile as it was a Saturday morning. He requested for early check-in and we managed to get our room at about 1.30pm :) Oh and there were no welcome drinks as compared to other Hard Rock Hotels overseas. Doesn't matter to us though!

P.S. The check-in time is 3.00pm while the check-out time is 12.00pm :)
Try to request for early check-in and late check-out!

The room exude rock-and-roll vibes and the purple & black theme gave it quite a mysterious feel. Supposedly to give guests a glimpse of a rock-star's life hahaha

We booked the Deluxe Room King with Pool View (40sqm) and paid about $255/night (Saturday night) via Agoda.

The room was pretty spacious and I like the daybed which looks out to the vibrant and beautiful pool & playground downstairs :) That served as our "dining" table too hahaha

Pull-out beds available at every room :)
There is NO free Wi-Fi provided though, something I couldn't quite understand when it is such a basic necessity these days :O

Separate charges apply if you want to use their free wireless broadband!

Toilet was interesting because there is no main door, just 2 separate cubicles inside for showering and toileting needs.

Most importantly, it was clean :)

Trying to recreate a rock-star's dressing room

42” Flat screen LCD TV with more than 28 channels. Quite disappointed that there was no cable TV :(

We always get extra happy when we see our favorite food channels available hahaha

Free sky-train passes!

Mini Bar!

Items in the fridge! And the fruits we bought from Vivo haha

The weather was mercilessly sunny and hot, thus explaining the peace and serenity.

Exited via this "special" exit which led us straight to the shopping & food areas!

 Lunch @ Insadong! :)

Penang Chendol at Malaysian Food Street :)

Time for a dip! Hehe really enjoyed myself though we were surrounded by people and more people hahaha

It was very crowded and limited beach chairs were available.

We went to the gym too! Well-equipped, spacious and equipment were fairly new.

Getting our favourite siew baos from Malaysian Food Street!

Chicken x Pork Char Siew :)

Left Sentosa for awhile to explore the booths at the boardwalk :)

Love the atmosphere :')

Snacked away at Vivo!

The snacks we got back ^^

Dinner takeaway from Malaysian Food Street! That place is forever bustling with customers and we are not a fan of noisy and crowded places haha. Hence we are always buying food back and enjoying it in the comfort of our quiet and peaceful room, while watching TV :')

This is definitely one of our favorite things to do together, and it makes us so happy and blessed every single time <3

Looking at this makes me hungry *_*

I don't usually eat such food hahaha but "vacations" like this is an excuse to pig out, no?

Took a stroll out at night :)

What's a holiday without the quintessential instant noodles hahaha

Woke up extra early the next day and went for a walk around the pool :)

It was peaceful and quiet :') It felt so, so nice walking on the soft (man-made) sand carrying my slippers on one hand, and the other holding his warm hand as we enjoy the morning breeze <3

 Breakfast! I quite like McCafe's GTL :)

Checked out :'(

Lunch at Paik's Bibim!

In all, Hard Rock Hotel was great, with food, shopping and all sorts of attractions just minutes away. :)

I guess we are paying more for the facilities and brand rather than the room itself, as the room amenities were average i.e. the fridge was not cold, the iPod dock was faulty and the carpet was dusty.

Still, it was a wonderful experience staying in RWS because of the bustling atmosphere and it makes you feel like you are really overseas! :)
