Meyer Lemon & Poppy Seed Yogurt Cake with Crème Pâtissière

Missed baking so much during pros prep! Immediately reunited with my kitchen the next day :)




Bought meyer lemons yesterday and planned to bake a lemon & poppy seed cake. However when I asked the boy for my next "challenge", he mentioned he's craving for something custard-y. HMM

So i decided to bake this Meyer Lemon & Poppy Seed Yogurt Cake with Crème Pâtissière filling!  I really love adding fillings to my bakes hahaha adds a little element of surprise. You prolly can't see the vanilla specks in the Crème Pâtissière :/

This tasted SO good fresh out of the oven. Warm, oozing vanilla custard with moist, tender-crumbed lemon cake :')

Brought this over to my guinea pig and his family! Had a great dinner at his place, with the usual fruits for me :')
