Studio M Staycation // Luk Yu // Ollie Cafe

Alan's birthday weekend!

Brunch was dimsum (because he is a die-hard fan of Chinese food) at Luk Yu :)

Baked Char Siew Bao was nice!! Fluffy bread but the filling was a tad sweet.

Liu Sha Pau's skin was on the thick side :/

XO Carrot Cake! A must-order for us every time we see it on the menu :) We loved this!

 Century Egg Congee

Service was pretty bad as the staff was inattentive and they kept forgetting our orders :( Our meal felt very rushed as well :/

As we still had time before check-in, we decided to walk to Clarke Quay for Tsujiri!

Matcha and Azuki never fails :') So good

Yay something we have been looking forward to! His birthday staycation at Studio M :)

Been dying to visit after seeing all the beautiful photos online/on Instagram :') There's just something about lofts that makes a room extra dreamy :))))

It was a Saturday and we booked the Premier Loft for about $220/night with breakfast :)

Even though both premier and studio loft are 22sqm, we preferred the layout of the former with the cosy queen bed on the mezzanine instead of a study area.

The first room we entered had a faulty air-conditioner but thankfully they changed our room even though we had to wait for an hour :)

In room amenities include (credit):
  • A private sleeping area on the mezzanine with a cosy queen bed
  • A combined work and living space on the lower level with a full-length work desk plus a sofa bed
  • Multi-functional vanity area, separate shower and WC
  • Cable TV news, movies, sports and music
  • In-room personal safe and coffee/tea making facilities
  • Hair dryer
  • Scheduled shuttle services to selected business districts and Orchard Road
  • 2 bottles of drinking water, replenished daily
  • Broadband and Wi-Fi in all rooms and throughout the hotel
  • Unlimited local calls (excludes calls to mobile phones)

Complimentary wine because I called the hotel a few days before and told them it was Alan's birthday :') So kind of them!

Explored the nearby malls and Robertson Quay :')

I LOVE MEIDI-YA

Just moments after we returned to our room, we heard the doorbell rang so Alan opened the door and to his surprise, the whole group of Studio M staff were standing outside with a chocolate tart and they started singing "Happy Birthday"!

Such a sweet gesture!!! :') The birthday boy was elated and pleasantly surprised :)

Yummy chocolate caramel tart!

 Thank you Studio M :')

In our cozy room enjoying our dinner away from the crowd :')

Is it staycation = instant noodles? :'D

The next morning, breakfast buffet!!! Things that make us excited hahaha

Substantial spread of food :)

Remember to go early as the queue can get pretty mad!

I was so happy when I saw vegetables!!!

Food was pretty nice! Not outstanding but certainly good enough :) Please also look at the difference in our food preferences :p

 Checked out soon after :(

Overall, the room was brightly lit, clean, cozy and definitely gorgeous. Service was truly excellent too :) The close proximity to Robertson Quay (cafes!!), malls like Liang Court and The Central are really convenient. Perfect for a lazy stroll after your meal :')

However it was a tad smaller than we expected and the toilet was really cramped. For the same price, I think they are other better options out there with bigger and more spacious rooms.

Lunch @ Ollie Cafe after checking-out! Check out my previous review here.

That's him pouring sugar syrup through the straw....... #okcan hahahaha

Still full from breakfast so we ordered a burger to share!

Woody Wood Piper ($18.80)

Beef Patty, Grilled Portobello, Monterey Jack Cheese, Mushroom Ragout, Quattro Cheese, 63degrees egg, Mixed salad and Truffle Fries.

Still one of my favourites *_*

What's better than truffle fries? Truffle fries dipped in runny yolk *_*

Moist and flavourful beef patty that didn't have those strange grubs :)

Satisfying meal to end off our beautiful weekend :')
